UNS S30100 stainless steel plate retains sufficient ductility under 1/2 hardening conditions to be formed into aircraft components, structural building components and especially train carriages by rolling or bending. UNS S30100 stainless steel plate's 3/4 hardened to fully hardened cold rolled sheet should be used for simple component designs where high wear resistance and flexibility are required. UNS S30100 stainless steel plate's corrosion resistance is similar to that of 304 stainless steel, with good resistance to corrosion in ambient temperature, mildly corrosive applications. UNS S30100 stainless steel plate is suitable for use in the manufacture of furnace fixtures, screen frames and curtain walls.
